Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
With a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the team enter areas they usually can’t.
- Additionally, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and Wicander defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to travel to the remote area in search of the traitor.
